These little Spring flower cake pops are in honor of the season coming to us at last! (Take that, Punxsutawney Phil!) Easy to make and darn adorable to look at, these flower pot cake pops have me super pumped for Spring.
Hooray!
Ok. Shape the cake balls into rectangles and dip in brown, chocolate melted wafers. Then, use a popsicle stick to draw a line around the top circumference of the pot with more of the melted chocolate. Repeat this 2 to 3 times to give the flower pots depth.
Now for the tricky part. The gum paste flowers.
First, make a small tear-drop shape out of gum paste.

Next, flatten the larger, bottom half of the gum paste.

Place a small flower cutter over the structure, cutting the flattened part of the gum paste.

Holding the tear drop base with your pointer finger and thumb, use a dog bone gum paste tool to press each petal upwards.

Next, use a knife to press in between each petal. This will create the curl around each petal and add dimension to the flower.

Finally, add a round sprinkle to the middle and admire your work, you dang artist!

After that, the leaves are easy. I made the leaf shape with my fingers and used a toothpick to create the lines.

Top your flower pots with a little bit of chocolate frosting and crushed Oreo cookie, add your beauteous flowers and leaves and you’re done!
Pretty adorable! They almost make me want to garden! (Minus the dirt and bugs and work.)

They’d be super cute with a variety of flowers in each pot (power to you if you have the patience to do so!) or with little garden veggies! Share your creations!
